You may not be familiar with that saying, but that it is the standard industry term for the support model that many (most?) MSPs provide.
What it means is that they will support whatever you have, in the state it is, doing the minimum possible, and save you money while doing it. There is nothing wrong per se with that model, but I would venture to say that this is probably no longer enough in today’s world. An MSP (or MSSP) should be a partner. They should learn about your business and over time, share with you what is happening in the world and what other businesses like yours are doing, and help you make decisions to keep you operating smoothly and securely.
At ALCiT we believe in partnerships, that’s how we help small and medium businesses become and stay cybersecure. We partner with our clients to understand what makes them special, but we also partner with our vendors, taking the time to become experts with their technologies, so that we can develop standard configurations that work for our clients. Those standard configurations are also the reasons we make it easy for our clients to become compliant, if and when they need it. We use the same tools, configured the same way, therefore, once compliance becomes important, we can just layer additional processes and reports without having to redeploy everything.
I would be happy to talk with you about the cybersecure road to compliance, and why it’s easier to do it with ALCiT, book some time with one of our cybersecurity expert and let’s talk.
